This year’s tour will feature six home gardens in the Lakes Region as well as a luncheon, raffle, plant sale, and boutique at the Gilford Community Church.

Field Trip to Strawberry Banke, Portsmouth, NH
This trip will include a tour of the Strawberry Banke Museum as well as a tour of the historical gardens and includes entry into the many buildings in the original waterfront neighborhood.

This will be a presentation on how to create colorful, but low care gardens and how to create privacy with man-made, but natural-looking ridges, known as berms.

Linda will lead us in creating a hypertufa trough container that we can take home, and will be ready for planting within a month after the “curing” process is complete.

Program: Giant Silk Moths of New Hampshire
Lucy will discuss the four giant moths, of which the Lunar Moth is the most well known. She is noted for her expertise in raising and releasing these moths, as well as recovering used cocoons which she electroplates and makes into jewelry.
